Bluehost has really decent performance. If definitely not the fastest or the most stable one, but it’s enough for the price you’re paying. While doing my full review, my website fully loaded in around two and a 1/2 seconds for a WordPress website with a custom theme. A few other affordable hosting providers managed to load the same set up fully faster than two seconds. So it is a bit of a small let down and can become a problem for bigger projects. The uptime was great, but also not perfect. Bluehost had about two to three minutes of downtime a month. Yeah, sure, it’s not 100%, but if you’re not running a top selling e-commerce store, no one will notice your site being unreachable for a minute.

The very last thing you need to know about bluehost, there are no shared hosting monthly plans. The shortest period you can get is 12 months. Of course, to get the lowest price, you will need to go with the longest hosting period.
